Chris, your thoughts got me thinking about science v. religion. AI = God would represent the pinnacle of ‘scientism’. But what if at its height, it failed to answer the Big Questions. And that could lead back to the mysteries of existence. Unanswerable questions.

I think that’s why I was drawn to the AI God having a crisis of faith. Logic and rationality are fine, but not the necessarily the path toward Truth and Enlightenment.
