Christian, this is one of countless reasons why I think it's so important to read/watch/hear interviews with screenwriters and filmmakers: to learn how they go about doing what they do. Because we can learn from them.
With Jac, it's interesting to see how comfortable she is in drawing inspiration for a *bunch* of TV series in terms of WV's tone, even plotting.
I enjoyed WV. Superhero stories and Marvel are not my particular cup of tea, so I'm sure I missed out on a lot of MCU references, but I dialed into Wanda's psychological journey dealing with grief. Creating the alternate reality she did is about as substantial a response to Denial I've ever seen on screen. Her journey is to go through the Five Stages of Grief, don't you think, finally ending up at Acceptance?
Besides, the two lead actors had a remarkable chemistry, excellent performances.
