Concur! Obviously not all stories or storytellers will burrow into this sort of depth, however even broad comedies need to create some sort of emotional resonance / connection to the script reader /audience. And per Cumberbatch’s point, the world certainly needs great stories nowadays which do impact people and speak to the “human condition”. Thanks for that quote, Esther!
