David, have you ever tried to work up a complete scene-by-scene outline? If you have and it doesn’t work for you, no problem. However I’ve worked with numerous writers who SWORE to me (in effect) that they could NOT work with outlines, then after they did my Prep workshop, now SWEAR by them (see what I did there, created a little arc there, from SWORE to SWEAR).
