Glad you found that analysis helpful, Salkis. Your take highlights how Dorothy did gain more of a sense of her own agency as she went through her journey. And one aspect of her Need which did lie dormant within her psyche was the ability to make friends, something she did with Scarecrow, Tin Man, and Cowardly Lion. In the end, that is, I think, a major factor in how she came to think of Kansas as being her home when at the beginning of the story, she did not.
