Gypsy Thornton, I know, right? I was both stunned, yet not surprised when I read the article. There is something about a lot of people with wealth, either earned or more commonly inherited, where they think their economic status translates into them being "better" human beings. This enables them to justify and do anything. And because they have the monetary resources, they can do anything, much of it doing irreparable harm to our society and the Earth itself.

The Bible has it right on this point: "For the love of money is the root of all evil." - 1st Timothy 6:10.

Clearly, we are in Marx's take on "late stage capitalism."

And it's disgusting.
