Haikal, if that’s your first attempt at breaking down the plot structure of a script, you did a damn fine job. And your articulation of those major plotline points demonstrate how solid the throughline is: we ‘get’ the story just from your list.
Notice how each plotline point — with the exception of the first woo-hoo beat — has a strong emotional focus. Events just don’t happen in this script. They happen and either have an emotional impact on characters or characters through their emotional response to situations CREATE the plotline point.
Great job, Haikal. I encourage you to keep breaking down scripts like this. It really reveals the underlying structure and you will be learning this stuff, both consciously and organically through your efforts.
