I stayed up to Stupid O'Clock and watched the movie. The thing I come away with is the same thing as reading the script: mythic elements in a secular age.

For any of these type of movies, there's always this question: "Why don't you get the fuck away from here?" I had that feeling several times especially with re Dani. Go! Flee! Leave!

But she stayed. So I wasn't 100% dialed into her behavior in the 2nd half of Act Two and Act Three.

That said, I enjoyed the movie a lot, even though it's well over 2 hours long.
