J, as the OP suggests, looking at paragraphs of scene description as individual camera shots (without using camera lingo) is a natural way to avoid thinking of it as "I can only write three lines per paragraph." The individual camera shot approach almost automatically translates into short paragraphs, most of them 2 lines or less. And that look is a common one in contemporary screenplays.
