Reginald, thanks. Had to laugh re your millennial comment. I’ve had lots of people suggest I do a podcast or some sort of audi0/video component to the blog. In fact, I’ve been told by a couple of voice-over actors I have a great voice for that. But I just don’t see how I can (A) find the time to do that and (B) discern a niche I could fill. There are so many good podcasts out there already, Scriptnotes the most prominent one, I just don’t see a gap in terms of need. Whereas when I started GITS, I did see a need which has proved over time to be true. But technology changes, social media has changed, and writers’ needs evolve. Hence this chance to reflect on how best to continue to provide helpful content to readers while focusing the content — less coverage, more depth, that’s pretty much my instinct at this point. Not sure what that means, thus this post a few others to come. Thanks for your feedback and I hope you will participate with your thoughts in some of the polling I’ll be doing in blog posts starting tomorrow.
